My mother lived her early years in this small town in South Mexico. Reading the NYT piece below, about lead poisoning in Mexico, I remembered a Mercury (Hg) mine in Huitzuco. My relatives tell me that people live near the abandoned installations of the mine.
Not even drug lords, little and big, are controlled in Huitzuco, so I am sure nobody is paying attention to Hg.
Thinking about the environmental mess, and COP17, which I'm following on DN! I am more and more convinced, that the criminal element of society is the one paying for deniers like Senator James Inhofe from Oklahoma.
Criminals couldn't care less if we all drop dead!
