Fokas' New Method

Professor Athanassios Fokas from Cambridge University, invented a new method to solve boundary value problems.

A group of professors, including myself,  here in Chilpancingo, are studying his method, which is the result of many years of research.

What a treat!

Professor Fokas was able to put together a series of developments of the late 70s. For those like me, interested in numerical applications, this is good.

From the book, "A Unified Approach to Boundary Value Problems",

"a) Deform the contour of integration of the terms involving the boundary values from the real axis to an appropriate contour in the complex k-plane

b) Utilize the invariant properties of the equation satisfied by $$\^ {q}$$(k,t)
. "

Short and sweet.
