Tecalitlan Massacre

Investors.com

Innocent people were killed early this morning in Tecalitlan, Jalisco.

Tomorrow is Virgin of Guadalupe's Holiday, after Christmas; arguably, the holiest of celebrations in Mexico. The government killed ''El Mas Loco,'' the craziest one: a leader of ''La Familia,'' a drug cartel, with religious connotations, in the neighboring state of Michoacan yesterday.

That area of Mexico already lived the Cristero Rebellion early last century. Now there is a Taliban kind of rebellion there, which obtains resources through  drug trade. Mexican backwardness keeps this people ignorant and unable to progress in an interconnected world. As with the Cristero revolt, when my uncle fought against them, now the Army, and other branches of the Government are fighting them.

Also this week the ignorant US government is trying to stop the Internet Information Explosion, caused by Julian Assange, by keeping him in jail without parole, through British, and Swedish authorities, for the crime of having consensual intercourse with a Cuban Spy hired by the CIA, while his condom broke.

The abuse of power is blatant; even Congressman Ron Paul, denounced it in Congress (below).

Here I explain some ideas on Information which may be related to these events.

Information is made of marks. As Stephen Wolfram proved recently, any system following instructions belongs to one of two categories, simple, or complex. A complexity threshold separates both. Depending on the value of this number we have one or the other kind of behavior, simple or complex.

Almost all systems we know follow instructions, i.e., read, interpret, and execute instructions present in the marks.

This insight together with others, discovered by Information Technology practitioners like Julian Assange, gives  them power.

It is easier to destroy than use Information laws constructively. Assange exploded the first Information bomb of History, that is why on the day he voluntarily surrendered to British authorities he started the Information Age.

More than fifty years before, Albert Einstein announced the beginning of the Nuclear Age, when the first bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, August 6, 1945.

One simple way to explain the power of the Information bomb is with a number. The equivalent of $E = m c^2$. Einstein's number is $100,000,000,000,000,000$ times what we were used to; the new number is bigger. I cannot give it, because the ideas are not that precise now; but it is bigger.

To illustrate the magnitude of this number, one possible estimate is Bill Gates profit. He paid around $10,000 for MSDoS, and now he owns $40,000,000,000. Mr. Gates has announced that instead of paying taxes, so we can invest that money, he is going to spend it, as he sees fit. Mr. Buffet is on a Pledge List also, you can read the list here.

These big numbers measure the Information constant.

With Assange's bomb, we are seeing how poor hackers are attacking the Information cloud, and they may pop it, causing huge losses on Wall Street.

If you listen the three hours and a half, of the courageous speech by Bernie Sanders below, on the floor of the Senate, you may start to understand what I describe here.

We entered the Information Era this week.

Tighten your seat belts!
