Triumph of Reason

Kepler-16 is a new object in our minds, and an old one outside our minds. We now know of an object, we only dreamed of before as Tatooine. The planet with two suns where Luke Skywalker was born.

"To our knowledge, Kepler-16 is the longest-period stellar binary for which a stellar obliquity has been measured (see Table 1 of Albrecht et al. 2011)."
