The widow of Anthony Shadid, Nada Bakri, is on DN! today. Shadid wrote a book: House of Stone, the program touched me. I am in the process of vacating my apartment in Chilpancingo, Shadid was rebuilding the stone house his family had to abandon when they left Lebanon. My things are in that apartment, and I cannot go, my friends are trying to help me.
What are we? Are we made out of the paths we leave behind?
