Dear Relevant Science people,
First of all I'd like to congratulate you on your initiative to document the Obama Inauguration! This is indeed an extraordinary moment in history for us all. However I write from the Mass Observation Archive at the University of Sussex in the UK where the original MO material (from 1937 onwards is held) to askw ehether you would please ensure that you are a separate entity from us. We con tinue to monitor everyday life in the UK today and i am concerned that our correspondents will be confused by your use of the term "Mass Observation" with capital letters. A link to our website at www.massobs.co.uk and a note about taking inspiration from us would be just fine. We recommend that when people use the term as a METHOD they use lower case letters otherwise it implies that it comes from the official Artchive. With sisterly interest and good wishes from the UK. Please correspond with me at d.e.sheridan@sussex.ac.uk
Best wishes
