At 10:42 PM CDT the transit is almost over. I walked towards Fermilab, that is how close I live from that Cathedral of Modern Science, around 4:00 PM CDT. I saw some big fish in a pond fighting for what to me looked like garbage, I kept walking towards the Village, where guests like me stay when they first get to the campus. There in a barn, they had setup a couple of telescopes to observe the Transit of Venus. I saw the beginning, and now I can see the end online from the NASA page set for this event. Venus is not out of the solar field yet.
My beloved Democratic Party lost in Wisconsin, I'm bombed out. My beloved students in Mexico are optimistic about stopping the party which ruled the country for over seventy years. After seeing what money can buy in Wisconsin, I'm not sure about the people winning down there.
On the other hand, I feel happy to have seen with my own eyes "The Transit of Venus"!
