Illegal Immigrants as Modern Slaves

After reading Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner, it dawned on me: This is what Thomas Piketty means; Thomas Sutpen represents the blind force of capital accumulation (r in Piketty's notation), and Goodhue Coldfield the work force which really produces wealth (g in Piketty's notation). Obviously there is more in this Literature Nobel prize worthy novel, than mere economics, but in Capital in the Twenty First Century by Thomas Piketty, you find more than mere economics as well.

The semitropical southern part of the US needed slaves. After the Civil War, which the South fought fiercely, that type of human exploitation was not legal.

Enter Illegal Workers.

Children as young as twelve work under inhumane conditions in the same tobacco fields where the ancestors of Michelle Obama used to work. Now her husband, did not find the courage, that Abraham Lincoln did, to become immortal.
