Habitable Planets

I have an e-mail relationship with Guillermo Gonzalez, some ten years younger than me. He invented the concept of Galactic Habitable Zone. You can read a new proposal for planet formation by Pavel Kroupa here. I shared an office with Alan Boss at UCSB. He has popularized the science of planet formation. Alan told me, that he started studying professor Safronov's theory of planet formation on the advice of Stanton Peale.

Now, my son is taking professor Mutel's class: Life in the Universe.

I hope he gets it.

There is a half a million grant from NASA for whoever comes out with a plan to go to a habitable planet (below).
