Today I had a better experience than yesterday teaching Algebra. Students can be a handful, almost bordering on the criminal. I am increasing the amount of homework, and requesting more attention in class. If by Friday they do not do the homework, I will send a select few to another location to be tutored on the homework.
I believe that a focus on the subject matter, can be my way out of a discipline problem.
I forgot that young people try to find out how much they can get away with. Now they are finding out the limits I impose. More academic work, and less monkeying around.
