Money

As almost everybody knows, paper money is a symbol for value. In the past real gold coins were carried around, and stolen. Printing more bills may not solve today's problems. Real objects, say computers, cars or corn flakes, are the real issue. Should I worry about the present financial crisis?

Trust is gone, Madoff took care of that.

Is the trust in Obama enough to pull this through?

Both statement and question make me feel uncomfortable, I feel I am writing about ghosts. A few friends and relatives read these lines, and some curious readers that fall around here. I am trying to clarify these issues for myself, so I know what is the next step. That is a way of life that will last until I stop breathing.

My symbolic money is shrinking here in Mexico. Thirty percent less than at the beginning of this new stage of my life.

More than the end of the world, I am worried about the end of my ability to get greenbacks.
