Audience

Whenever I see this picture I feel at awe. A humble professor writing in an obscure corner of the Third World has an audience all over the place. Also I see that most of the world surface is depopulated, definitely very few people are on the ocean surface. Nobody in the Amazon, nor most of Africa. I know that they are a lot of people in Africa, and some speak English, but I guess they are on the other side of the digital divide.

Right now Pakistan and India are not following my blog; sometimes they do, I guess the floods.

Most of my audience is in the US East Coast, and Western Europe, few in Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

When I see this map, I get two feelings; first that I am at the center of things, that is good, is good to be important; second that the few that I am a part of, are destroying the environment for most of the World, bad, very bad.

Evo Morales went to Copenhagen to demand we pay for this outrage. He was ignored.

How long can we keep acting like this. Until the Incas, the Aztecs, the Sioux, and all the other forgotten people of the world, whom are not following my blog, say: ¡Ya Basta! Enough is Enough!

I kind of wait for that moment.
