His seat has been the hottest. A lawyer from the American Civil Liberties Union has been dragging him through years of damning evidence — official press releases, emails, memos, videos of news conferences, his own deposition testimony and excerpts from one of the sheriff’s own books — that clearly depict a sheriff’s office on the hunt for brown-skinned immigrants, scouring the county looking for ways to lock them up."
