I am watching the runner-up in Mexico's election. I want him to be president. The count was finished a few days after election day on July 1. The names are Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), and Enrique Pena Nieto (EPN).
AMLO has had a press conference almost every day, since the beginning of the month. Today Hector Vasconcelos was with him. His father Jose Vasconcelos, was a great Mexican philosopher. These are the architects of the Mexican intellectual world.
My intellectual proclivities are with this people.
My main concern, is like in many places in the world, mafias control us. Intellectuals are not criminals. Drug dealers, and other corrupt elements of society are in charge.
EPN and his party, Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), have had over eighty years to free the country of criminals.
They have not done that.
