We all go through our own crises with more or less luck. Nevertheless when the whole world goes through a crisis, that is a horse of a different color. Naomi Klein in her book "The Shock Doctrine", explains how some people thrive in crisis. Right now, global warming has produced the hottest July on record; which in itself increased the price of corn. As a consequence, the Midwest is the cause of hunger in Mexico, with a possible violent uprising, because of the contested presidential election there.
If the present Mexican violence increases, I believe there are criminals in the wings, ready to profit hugely from poverty in my country.
Sad.
