HSBC , Mexico, and Information

I am watching the C-Span interrogation by Carl Levin, and Thomas Coburn, of the HSBC officials, Mr. Levey, and Ms. Dorner, at the same time, I found out through the Mexican newspaper, La Jornada, that some accounts in this bank are not accessible today in Mexico.

I do not need more information to conclude, that both events are related. There is corruption in Mexico, I know this; my prior experience has given me a view of my country. Officials in HSBC in Mexico are aware of the proceedings in Washington D.C.. Druglords very influential in Mexico, finally are feeling the hand of US Justice System.

Chapo Guzman, you have to put your money somewhere else!

From The Daily Star we know:

"Levin is chairman of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which is looking into HSBC's activities between 2006 and 2010."

"One HSBC executive, Paul Thurston, who was head of retail banking and wealth management, told the hearing of the difficulties of working in Mexico, which, he said, was a dangerous environment where kidnapping of bank staff was widespread and employees came under pressure from criminals who would attempt to corrupt them."
