Is the Higgs a Particle, is Obamacare a Tax, is Enrique Peña Nieto the President of Mexico?

Many posts in this blog touch on one of the three questions raised on the title. I try to answer all, to the best of my knowledge.

First of, the Higgs should be called the Brout, but my dear professor Robert Brout is dead, and he won't make a fuzz for the naming of the baby. The discovery of the Higgs was announced today at CERN in Switzerland. The mass is 125 GeV as the Fermilab teams reported. The Nobel Prize for the discovery will not come to Batavia Illinois, because the US Government decided not to pay for the work done here in Batavia.

Is it a particle?

Very likely there is a Higgs phenomenon, as was predicted by Englert and Brout in 1964. After close to forty years the thing was found.

According to Fermilab (No Nobel Here) it decays, sometimes  to a b quark-anti b quark pair, and sometimes to a W-anti W.pair.

So the answer to the question is yes; if they confirm it, with more data taking at Geneva, in Switzerland, in Europe, not at Batavia, in Illinois, in the United States of America, which "proudly" celebrates its Independence from England today, this 4th of July.

The Texans did it!

Waxahachie was going to be the birthplace of the Brout, like twenty years before it was finally found at Geneva.

Now to the second question,

I predicted in another post, that there is a conspiracy, I even posted a way to know if it is or not. The NYT today almost confirms my prediction. As to the question, the answer is, a qualified yes. If you pay your health insurance, is not a tax, but if you don't, then your taxes go up. It is similar to giving a tax break to those of us who buy an energy efficient refrigerator. According to my idea though, Romney will just say that it a tax; end of the story.

Third question.

Even though the POTUS already congratulated Enrique Peña Nieto, they are counting the votes today, and my candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador, already asked for a recount. So, I cannot answer this one, only in a few days, ( months?). Remember Gore-Bush?
