My sister is a social scientist. She has made me aware of Hermeneutics. Here I start to study the philosophical movement called Analogic Hermeneutics.
Mauricio Beuchot started this interpretation of Hermeneutics. The main reference at this point is ``Tratado de Hermeneútica Analógica''.
This reminds me of the Greek Odyssey , Scylla and Charybdis, as Maturana and Varela state in The Tree of Knowledge. One cannot get too close to one monster (Solipsism), nor the other extreme (Representationsm), either one has to be tamed by a more balanced view of the world. These two Chilean scientists teach us, that we do make the representation in our heads, in this sense we construct ``reality.'' I wrote a note here.
Beuchot teaches us that neither positive, nor completely relative interpretations are useful. He encourages us to look for a middle ground.
Thanks sis, this is fun.
