Xochipala

This small town of Guerrero, is the place where Freddy Carreto was born. It is an Indian town. I consider Freddy a wise Indian man. His books are very simply written, but they touched me deeply. Actually Hairy Heart, may be turned into a Rene Cardona III movie. For a presentation in Spanish of his book, you can go here.

There is actually something called, hairy heart:

adhesive pericarditis a condition due to the presence of dense fibrous tissue between the parietal and visceral layers of the pericardium.

``El Espuelas de Oro'' was an actual criminal from that town. He was one of ``Rey Lopitos'' bodyguards. Alfredo López Cisneros aka Rey Lopitos organized poor people in Guerrero, until he was killed. Teódulo Ferrer Cuenca aka El Espuelas de Oro,  is the main character in Carreto's book.

To this day, towns like Xochipala all over the south of Mexico, are filled with men like Hairy Heart, Corazón Peludo. They are not as afraid of dying like city folk, they live in the wild south.

One thought, led to another. Mexico is in the midst of a poor's people insurrection. Since they don't call themselves communists, the US cold warriors are sleeping at the wheel.

The poor people of Mexico, are again up in arms. Those things happen in Mexico every hundred years.
