To Kill a Mouse

Sunday morning. Last night was eventful. I killed a black mouse!

We live in a suburb, Warrenville, IL. We moved into this house around 1999, when I got a job at Lucent Technologies, nearby in Naperville. The recession hit us hard, I had just immigrated to the US from Mexico, with my wife and kids. Lovely family.

The mouse of the note, is very dead outside the house, together with the couch and easy chair we threw out. For several years we got an extended visit by a writer friend of my daughter. He is gone now, and so is the mouse.

It was not a big mouse.
