I am collecting sites for my upcoming physics class. I came across this interesting instructor, Erik Thompson. He uses VPython to teach physics. You can see his videos here.
I couldn't install VPython in my Ubuntu 9.04 platform. I used this program before in a McIntosh computer. I think Thompson has a linux system as well. The point I write about here is the new class room situation. The video shows the attention given to the code in real time, given Python's script character the flexibility is useful.
This was not the way I learnt. This students are learning two things at once.
More important are the possibilities; now students can do more than we did back then.
