On a Few Million Years Range, the Solar System is Chaotic

I believe this number was first calculated by Wisdom. Can we conclude something about life?

Life has existed a thousand times longer.

That means that since the beginning of the Earth, every four million years or so, all bets are off. How come there is life?

I will invent a mechanism here, we can call it the Gaia theory of the Solar System.

As you may know, Jim Lovelock had the brilliant idea more than three decades ago, that the biosphere is a negative feedback system. The Sun is 20% hotter, but the Earth has the same temperature, so far (humanity may mess up that nice homeostasis).

Here is my Super Gaia Hypothesis.

Every four million years the Solar System enters a completely new stage, then puny Earth has to have a feedback loop with this time frame, to accommodate life.

Neat, eh!
