What to teach?; that is a very old problem, and is getting harder by the day.

If I was taught Mexican geography, then I teach that. I did not have Google Earth, though. I am shortchanging my students.

I see one way out. Teach skills:

• How to find information
• How to use information
• Learn to learn
• Learn Semantic Search

I am thinking in higher level mental tasks. For each one of those tasks there are new and rapidly coming tools.

Students know what is good for them. We help them and give them the social context they need, but they are good at helping themselves.

I am reading documents written by an old student of mine. He knows a few tricks I'll like to learn myself. I've learned from my children also.

Since I am older though, I have the responsibility to be wiser than them. I am working on that.
