85 Pageviews for MSFT Concedes Defeat (Sort of)

I just put that one last night and it is already in the list of the most pageviews of all time!

Less my readers get disappointed by the (Sort of) disclaimer, I explain myself better here.

Bill Gates is in the business of giving money away, not in the business of making money. Already the Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim Helú, has more money than Gates does. Slim's phone business in Mexico just exploded, he is worth over fifty billion dollars!

Ballmer was supposed to be running the store as I understand business, and now he is diversifying. After my sad experience with the big honchos at Lucent, I think that he is jumping ship. On Friday night he announces his move, so the stock doesn't take a plunge; but I believe I've seen this movie before. The Cloud devoured the pre-cloud MSFT.

If I had money I'll be moving it from MSFT to GOOG.

Since around October it has been a slaughter, see graph in WolframAlpha.com below.

From NYT:

``And, crucially, the counterfeit software cuts into Microsoft’s potential profit. A software industry trade group estimated the value of unlicensed software for all companies at $51.4 billion last year.''

I guess that is the fifty billion that put Gates below Carlos Slim.

Just saying. You know in War, Love, and Business, all is allowed, (Sort of).
