Optimization, Wolfram Alpha, and Chrome

The Science Section of the NYT has been an inspiration, today we find an article on biological optimization: read it here.

WolframAlpha together with Chrome Extensions ``conspired'' to make the fastest post for me, which is not silly. I've written silly posts in no time also, but that is easier. Using a Blogger extension in Chrome, (both Google products, mmh), allowed me to leverage the computer engine from the scientist in Champaign, IL, and I got this triple Fibonacci baby on blogger, in no time.

With the extension Blog This., I run the engine with very simple code (post below), and got a link to the WolframAlpha page for the whole World to see. To tell you the truth, I'll be happy if my students do.

Voilà.

I am optimizing my software tools. The NYT article is about biological optimization, and this is technological optimization, but in my mind they are tightly linked.

Note: You have to click the link in the body of the post below to get to Wolfram Research Inc..

See it in Google Docs, here.

I love Google!
