I do feel bad for dealers but the workers and union made all this happen. UAW workers are way over paid and under worked. Sit in union hall and get full pay that is BS. The bums that go to "work" and collect a paycheck are protected. The guy that is working his ass off next to him has to carry the load. Not sure how many qualify under working his ass off. If GM files bankrupcy those people will get one hell of a wake up call. The retiress will get hurt too. But then how can a company pay all these benifits and still compete with the Asian Mfgs? Wake up UAW. Next your guys will be in food lines or working min pay jobs. No Pity from me
People need to understand a car dealership does not COST a manufacturer money. Once the car is ordered the DEALER has all the expense from delivery charges to bank financing. WHY does a manufacturer want fewer places for a customer to buy it's product. The customers that used to go to a now closed dealer, may very well go buy a Toyota or another non-USA made car. Governement needs to stop medling in business. If a business isn't making the payroll or bank payments they will close on their own.
