On Michalli da Ruodo

This medieval man inspires me to write this. He was not a nobleman and was given control of a whole ship, as armiraio,  because of his talent.

The story reminds me of my condition. My parents had trouble making ends meet, but nevertheless my siblings and I got advanced degrees. Here in Chilpancingo I am proud to say that I teach to young men and women coming from the working class. One of them actually works for the construction firm building the Engineering building next door. He is a construction worker with a talent for mathematics. His name is Adán, or Adam.

Long live the Ruodo's of the world!
