Elegant Notation

Leibniz lost the battle with Newton, but won the war. During their lifetimes, it seems to me that Newton received more rewards, but today we use:

I am reading how John McCarthy expressed Lisp. It is beautiful.

yes I do ..

I find LISP especially elegant ..used it to mimic speech and reading comprehension on the computer many years ago.
