Entropic Dynamics (6)

Some of these ideas are not original, but they fit together in my head:

• Universe as a Computer
• Cellular Automata (CA) as Initial Algorithms
• Programs not Formulas
  
• Cosmological Natural Selection
  
• Anthropic Principle
  

Now I add:

• Strings as One Dimensional CA
• Two Dimensional Surfaces as Holographic Membranes
• Gravity as Emergent Entropic Force

This note just connects these ideas in my concept map.

In the beginning there was nothing. No Laws of Nature, no fundamental particles, nothing. This is just Occam's Razor. I want to see how much I can build with this.

The mathematical tools I think I can use are:

• Graph Theory
• Finite State Machines
• Computation Theory

The objective of the exercise is to get:

• Newton's Laws
• Maxwell's Laws
  
• Einstein's Laws
• Standard Model of particle physics
• Cosmological Standard Model

If most of these ideas and methods are linked to Wikipedia, this is not news. Nevertheless there are two new ideas here. Strings as One Dimensional CA, as far as I know, has not be considered by string theorists, nor computer scientists, neither Two Dimensional Surfaces as Holographic Membranes, in the context of the Theory of Computation and Physics. Of course the Holographic Principle is not new.

I have been posting a series of notes that I hope allow readers to know what I am talking about. This is not a paper. This is a blog, i.e. work in progress. More like a Prolegomena to Any Future Physics.

Is physics at all possible?
