Lidar

I read in the NYT that lasers were used by Florida scientists to study Belize Tropical Forest. There are intellectual treasures there that Belizians are happy to give to other scientists.  

Here in Guerrero we have a treasure of ancient knowledge in the heads and traditions of millions of Mexicans that have been here for tens of thousands of years. Also the Spanish people running the place, and call themselves Mexicans, don't understand, and don't want to understand this treasure.

Maybe the online education proposal I posted below, and this treasure I write  about here, could be the basis for a well funded research effort.
