In the US and most of Mexico, universities get their support from taxes. Here in Guerrero, Mexico, I just found out that schools charge students that want to be medical professionials directly, from general practitioners to nurses.
That made me think. That is a concept, if your university diploma cannot keep you well endowed, why bother? Now I am thinking of a new profession so profitable, that people will actually pay to send their children there to provide life long economic gain.
Maybe the US is different, but here in Mexico a university diploma does not provide a good standard of living any more. Maybe time has come for returning to the beginning of higher learning institutions.
Hey, if your diploma is not worth the paper it is printed on, who needs it?
